How to import an X post by pasting the post URL
Direct answer
Yes. Open the post on X, copy the full URL from the browser address bar (x.com/username/status/...), paste it into Provoon Import under X, and click Get post. Click Add on the preview - nothing goes public until you approve it and place it on your Wall of Fame.
Why paste an X post URL
X already holds short, public social proof - launches, exits, and customer shoutouts with names and handles attached. Screenshotting into Canva is slow and easy to fake. Provoon takes the same x.com/.../status/... link you already have open, loads the post, and lets you Add only what is worth showing next to pricing or a Wall of Fame.
How to import an X post into Provoon
- 1
Copy the X post URL from the address bar
Open the post on X (or twitter.com). Select the full URL in the browser address bar and copy it. A good link looks like x.com/username/status/123456789 - not a profile page, search results, or a truncated share preview.

Paste it in Provoon Import and get the post
In your wall, open Import, choose X, stay on Import from URL, and paste into X post URL. Click Get post. Provoon pulls the author name, handle, and post text so you can review before saving.

Click Add on the preview
Check the preview - name, @handle, and text. Click Add if the quote helps buyers. Skip vague promo fluff. You can paste another status URL anytime for the next post.

Approve and show it on your Wall of Fame
Open Collected if the story needs approval, then include it in Curate / Wall of Fame or an on-site widget. Imports and fresh collection submissions share one inbox, so X posts can sit next to Reddit, LinkedIn, or video you recorded in Provoon.
What gets saved from an X post
Each Add stores the author name, @handle when available, post text, an X source badge, and the status URL as the linked source. Edit typos carefully without changing meaning. Only republish posts you have the right to show - ask when consent is unclear.
Practical tips
- Prefer x.com/username/status/... (or twitter.com/.../status/...) from the address bar over a profile or Moments URL.
- Open the specific post first - copying from a timeline card can grab the wrong status.
- Quoted posts and links stay in the text; trim carefully if you only need the core quote.
- Nothing auto-publishes. Add, approve, then place proof near decisions (pricing, booking, CTA).
- If visibility or consent feels unclear, leave it out or ask again with a Provoon collection link.
FAQ
Do I need an X API key or developer app?
No. Paste a public X post URL. Provoon does not ask you to create a developer app.
What X URL should I copy?
Open the post and copy the full URL from the browser address bar - typically x.com/username/status/ID. Avoid profile pages or search results.
Does twitter.com still work?
Yes. A twitter.com/.../status/... link for the same post works the same way as x.com.
Do imported X posts publish automatically?
No. Click Add on the preview, then approve and place them on your Wall of Fame like any other story.
Will new posts from that account sync later?
Treat import as a curated pull, not a live mirror. When you want another quote, paste that status URL and Add again.
