Yelp · paste a link
How to import Yelp reviews by pasting the business URL
Direct answer
Yes. Open your business on Yelp, copy the full business URL from the browser address bar (usually yelp.com/biz/...), paste it into Provoon Import under Yelp, and click Get Yelp reviews. Click Add on each review you want - nothing goes public until you approve it and place it on your Wall of Fame or embed.
Why paste the Yelp business URL
Local and service businesses already earn trust on Yelp - coaches, shops, restaurants, clinics. Screenshotting stars into a slide deck is slow, and most widgets want an API key or a vague search. Provoon takes the same /biz/... link you see in the address bar, loads matching reviews, and lets you Add only the quotes worth showing next to booking, pricing, or a Wall of Fame. You stay in control. No dumping every old complaint onto the homepage by accident.
How to import Yelp reviews into Provoon
- 1
Copy the Yelp business URL from the address bar
Search your business on Yelp and open the correct page (check name, city, and rating). Select the full URL in the browser address bar and copy it. A good link looks like yelp.com/biz/your-business-name-city - not a generic search results page. Extra query params are fine; Provoon uses the business page.

Paste it in Provoon Import and get the reviews
In your wall, open Import, choose Yelp, stay on Import from URL, and paste into the Yelp URL field. Click Get Yelp reviews. Provoon saves that URL on each imported story as the personal / social link so visitors can still verify the source.

Click Add on each review you want
Provoon lists the fetched reviews with stars, date, and quote. Click Add on the ones that help buyers - skip the rest. You can return later for more. Selective Add beats importing everything and cleaning up after.

Approve and show it on your Wall of Fame
Open Collected if the story needs approval, then include it in Curate / Wall of Fame or an on-site widget. Imports and fresh collection submissions share one inbox, so Yelp quotes can sit next to Google, Amazon, or video you recorded in Provoon.
What gets saved from each Yelp review
Each Add stores the reviewer name, star rating, review text, date when available, a Yelp source badge, and the business URL as the linked source. Edit typos carefully without changing meaning. Only republish reviews you have the right to show.
Practical tips
- Prefer the full yelp.com/biz/... URL from the address bar over a truncated paste or a search-results link.
- Confirm the city and business name before you copy - same brand in two cities will pull the wrong reviews.
- Business plan fetches up to 100 reviews per run; start with your strongest quotes, not the whole dump.
- Nothing auto-publishes. Add, approve, then place proof near decisions (booking, pricing, CTA) - not only a buried reviews tab.
- If Yelp terms or consent feel unclear for a specific quote, leave it out or ask again with a Provoon collection link.
FAQ
Do I need a Yelp Fusion API key?
No. Paste the public Yelp business URL. Provoon does not ask you to create a Yelp developer app for this import.
What Yelp URL should I copy?
Open the business page on Yelp and copy the full URL from the browser address bar - typically a link that includes /biz/ and your business name. Avoid copying a generic search results URL.
Do short share links or Yelp app links work?
Use the full /biz/... URL from the desktop browser address bar when you can. If a short or app share link fails, open the business on yelp.com, wait for the long URL to load, and copy that instead.
Do imported Yelp reviews publish automatically?
No. Click Add on the reviews you want, then approve and place them on your Wall of Fame or embed like any other story.
Will new Yelp reviews sync by themselves later?
Treat import as a curated pull, not a live mirror. When you want fresh quotes, paste the same business URL again and Add the new ones. That keeps weak or off-topic reviews off your site.
Can I mix Yelp with Google Maps or Amazon?
Yes. Imports and new collection submissions live in the same workspace and can feed the same wall, nudge, or social export.
