How to add a text testimonial in Provoon

Direct answer

Open Import, pick Text, paste or type the quote, add the customer name and optional company, then save. Approve the story and place it on your Wall of Fame before you publish. Use this when the praise already lives in email, Slack, or a doc - not on a public review URL.

Why add Text proof this way

Half the best quotes never hit Google or G2. They sit in inboxes and DMs. Typing them in once beats screenshots that go soft and quotes you forget to reuse.

How to add a Text story in Provoon

  1. 1

    Open Import and choose Text

From your wall, go to Import and tap Text under Add it yourself.

  2. 2

    Paste the quote

Drop in the exact words. Light cleanup is fine - do not invent lines they did not say.

  3. 3

    Add who said it

Name, optional role or company, and a photo if you have one. That is what visitors trust on the wall.

  4. 4

Approve it if it lands in Collected

Open Collected (or your wall inbox) and approve the text entry when you want it public. Nothing shows on the live wall until you say so.

  5. 5

Add it to your Wall of Fame

In Curate or Wall of Fame, include the story in the layout you publish. Drag it where it fits - homepage proof, pricing strip, or a dedicated love wall.

  6. 6

    Publish and embed

Hit Publish on the wall, then Get Embed if you need the iframe on your site. Changes show up on the live embed after publish - no re-paste of the whole wall.

What gets saved

Provoon stores the quote text, attribution (name / company), optional avatar, and tags you add. Source shows as a written testimonial you entered.

Practical tips

  • Keep the customer voice. Fix typos, leave the personality.
  • One idea per card reads better than a five-paragraph email dump.
  • Ask permission if the quote came from a private thread.

FAQ

Can I edit the quote later?

Yes. Open the story, edit the text or name, and save. Republish the wall if it is already live.

Is this the same as collecting via a form?

No. Forms ask customers to submit. Text import is for quotes you already have and want on the wall now.

Will it show a platform badge?

Text added here is marked as your own entry, not as Google or G2.
