How to add a review photo or screenshot in Provoon

Direct answer

Choose Photo / screenshot in Import, upload the image, type the quote and name so it stays readable, then save. Approve and add it to your Wall of Fame. Use this for DMs, locked review UIs, or print-outs - not as a substitute when a clean URL import exists.

Why add Photo / screenshot proof this way

Sometimes the only proof you have is a screenshot. That is fine for a wall as long as you also type the quote - images alone go blurry on mobile.

How to add a Photo / screenshot story in Provoon

  1. 1

Open Import and choose Photo / screenshot

Under Add it yourself, pick the photo option.

  2. 2

    Upload a clear crop

Crop tight to the review. Huge full-desktop screenshots look messy on a masonry wall.

  3. 3

    Type the quote too

Copy the text into the quote field. Search, accessibility, and small screens all thank you later.

  4. 4

Approve it if it lands in Collected

Open Collected (or your wall inbox) and approve the photo entry when you want it public. Nothing shows on the live wall until you say so.

  5. 5

Add it to your Wall of Fame

In Curate or Wall of Fame, include the story in the layout you publish. Drag it where it fits - homepage proof, pricing strip, or a dedicated love wall.

  6. 6

    Publish and embed

Hit Publish on the wall, then Get Embed if you need the iframe on your site. Changes show up on the live embed after publish - no re-paste of the whole wall.

What gets saved

The image file plus the text and name you entered. Do not rely on the pixels alone - typed text travels better.

Practical tips

  • Hide emails or phone numbers before you upload.
  • Prefer PNG or high-quality JPEG so stars stay sharp.
  • If the platform later gets a URL import, switch to that for fresher pulls.

FAQ

Is a screenshot enough legally?

You still need the right to show the review. Public reviews are usually fine; private chats need permission.

Why type the quote if the image has it?

Text can be resized, searched, and read on phones. Screenshots shrink into mush.

Can I use this for Google reviews?

You can, but the Google Maps URL import is cleaner when it is available. Screenshot is the fallback.
