How to import Apple App Store reviews by pasting the app URL

Direct answer

Yes. Open your app on the App Store (web), copy the full app URL from the browser address bar (apps.apple.com/.../id...), paste it into Provoon Import under App Store, and click Get App Store reviews. Click Add on each review you want - nothing goes public until you approve it and place it on your Wall of Fame or embed.

Why paste the App Store app URL

iOS users already leave install-time trust on the App Store - widgets, UX notes, and star ratings next to the listing. Screenshotting reviews into a landing page is slow. Provoon takes the same apps.apple.com/.../id... link you see in the address bar, loads matching reviews, and lets you Add only the quotes worth showing next to pricing or a Wall of Fame. You stay in control. No dumping every short line onto the homepage by accident.

How to import App Store reviews into Provoon

  1. 1

Copy the App Store app URL from the address bar

Open your app on apps.apple.com (web) and confirm it is the right listing. Select the full URL in the browser address bar and copy it. A good link looks like apps.apple.com/us/app/your-app/id123... (country codes like /in/ are fine) - not a search results page.

Paste it in Provoon Import and get the reviews

In your wall, open Import, choose App Store, stay on Import from URL, and paste into the App Store URL field. Click Get App Store reviews. Provoon saves that URL on each imported story as the personal / social link so visitors can still verify the source.

Click Add on each review you want

Provoon lists the fetched reviews with stars, title when available, date, and quote. Click Add on the ones that help buyers - skip vague one-liners or complaints you do not want on-site. Selective Add beats importing everything and cleaning up after.

Approve and show it on your Wall of Fame

Open Collected if the story needs approval, then include it in Curate / Wall of Fame or an on-site widget. Imports and fresh collection submissions share one inbox, so App Store quotes can sit next to Play Store, Product Hunt, or video you recorded in Provoon.

What gets saved from each App Store review

Each Add stores the reviewer name, star rating, review title and text when available, date when available, an App Store source badge, and the app URL as the linked source. Edit typos carefully without changing meaning. Only republish reviews you have the right to show.

Practical tips

  • Prefer the full apps.apple.com/.../id... URL from the address bar over an App Store search or truncated share link.
  • Country paths (/us/, /in/, etc.) are fine - copy the listing you actually publish.
  • Confirm the app id before you copy - similar names can pull the wrong reviews.
  • Start with specific, outcome-heavy reviews - not every short star dump.
  • Nothing auto-publishes. Add, approve, then place proof near decisions (pricing, product page, CTA).
  • If Apple App Store terms or consent feel unclear for a specific quote, leave it out or ask again with a Provoon collection link.

FAQ

Do I need an App Store Connect API key?

No. Paste the public App Store app URL. Provoon does not ask you to set up App Store Connect API access for this import.

What App Store URL should I copy?

Open the app page on apps.apple.com and copy the full URL from the browser address bar - typically a link that includes /app/ and an id number. Avoid search results pages.

Do country-specific App Store links work?

Yes. Copy the listing URL from whichever storefront you use (/us/, /in/, /gb/, etc.). The app id path is what matters.

Do imported App Store reviews publish automatically?

No. Click Add on the reviews you want, then approve and place them on your Wall of Fame or embed like any other story.

Will new App Store reviews sync by themselves later?

Treat import as a curated pull, not a live mirror. When you want fresh quotes, paste the same app URL again and Add the new ones.

Can I mix App Store with Play Store or Product Hunt?

Yes. Imports and new collection submissions live in the same workspace and can feed the same wall, nudge, or social export.
